1. Use the Cover Letter to Explain Keyword Gaps

Your ATS report shows missing keywords. The cover letter is your chance to address them. If your resume lacks "project management," write: "While my title was Software Engineer, I led 5 cross-functional projects from concept to launch."

2. Structure for 30-Second Scanning

Recruiters spend an average of 7.4 seconds scanning a resume and 30 seconds on a cover letter. Make those seconds count:
